ABOUT
Love for Alamance
Saturday, August 3
"For Alamance" is a group of volunteers who desire to see everyone in Alamance County thrive in today's challenging times. To do that, we must be willing to work together, and must be willing to cross over some of the issues that currently divide us. "Love for Alamance" is an opportunity for people from all walks of life to come together and serve one another.
"Love for Alamance" is a Day of Service coordinated by members of the "For Alamance" Faith Team. The various service projects will allow people to use their talents and experiences to meet needs that exist within our community. Sign up today to serve alongside your neighbors. By doing so, you will demonstrate to others that people in Alamance County truly do care for one another.

Breakfast is on us...
From 9:30 to 10 a.m., we will enjoy a light breakfast together and have an opportunity to select from several area projects. Many of the day's events will focus on clean-up at area schools.

Several school campuses have asked for our help in getting the grounds and the facilities ready for the start of a new school year. Projects include painting at some schools, trash pick-up at others, and light landscaping projects that will help to beautify each campus.
Food

We also have the opportunity to meet needs through the Homeless Shelter of Allied Churches of Alamance County (206 N. Fisher Street, Burlington, NC). Several projects are planned at this site, including the distribution of food to families in need.

Volunteers are also needed on August 3 at the Salvation Army Thrift Store on South Church Street. On that day, volunteers will help organize the store shelves as well as restock the showroom.
